For instance, during a recent workshop, we practiced active listening techniques that helped bridge the gap between patient concerns and our teaching methods. I’d love to hear what strategies others are using to foster a more patient-centered approach in their education.
I totally agree about the importance of empathy in patient education. One technique I’ve found helpful is using role-playing during training sessions, where we switch roles with the patients. It really allows us to see things from their perspective and fine-tune our communication.
