As we continue to evolve our Nurse Practitioner programs, I’m curious about how others are effectively integrating advanced practice skills into their curricula. Recently, we’ve been incorporating simulation-based learning with high-fidelity manikins during the final semester, and it’s had a noticeable impact on student confidence. Would love to hear any strategies that have worked well for you.
I hear you on that! , finding the right balance between theory and practice can be a challenge. Last semester, we started using peer-led simulations during the second semester, which gave students a less intimidating way to practice skills before the final high-fidelity sessions.
Using high-fidelity manikins sounds great! We’ve found that incorporating reflective debriefs post-simulation really enhances the learning experience… It allows students to articulate their experiences and identify areas for improvement. What do you think about integrating that into your sessions, @l_jones25?
