I just updated our SimBaby scenario to auto-score compressions and ventilations for Tuesday’s skills checks — what’s the current AHA compression-to-ventilation ratio for two rescuers on an infant? I want the metronome set correctly too, so a quick sanity check from the group would help.
“15:2” for two-rescuer infant CPR per AHA; set the metronome 100–120/min (110 works nicely — think steady pop beat) and aim for about 1.5 in depth with the two-thumb technique. If you’re solo or place an advanced airway the pattern changes; see Part 6: Pediatric Basic Life Support | American Heart Association CPR & First Aid.
For your Tuesday SimBaby checks, I’d set the metronome to 110 and make each breath a true “1 second” so the pause after 15 compressions stays tiny. @stephg_87 has the 15:2 right; small caveat — if you drop an advanced airway mid-scenario, switch to continuous compressions at 100–120/min with 1 breath every 2–3 sec (20–30/min), not 15:2. , what drives me nuts is when recoil isn’t scored — toggle that on so it counts; do you want it to flag pauses >3 sec between cycles?
