When can kids use 0–10 pain scale

At what age do you teach that children can reliably use a 0–10 pain scale? I coach new grads to lean on FACES for ages 3–7 and shift to numbers around 8+, and I’m curious if anyone has had success letting a 6-year-old pick their tool after a 2-minute, play-based demo.

After your “2-minute demo”, verify number order: “Is 7 worse than 4?” If yes, try numbers. https://wongbakerfaces.org.
